2006, greeted Sensei Corbett and the members of the Dojo with a few changes in routine We decided to move to a new dojo. Sensei found a suitable spot and we are in the process of moving.

Sensei Jackson is scheduled for a visit to Canada this year, but the dates have not been finalized to date.

Sensei Corbett plans another visit to England maybe in the fall, to train with Sensei Jackson and eat some fish and chips.

Sensei Corbett is also in the preliminary stages of arranging a visit from Sensei ABE from Japan.

The end of 2005 saw Sensei Corbett visit England, three times, to live, train and experience Sensei Jackson’s Fudochi system of Martial art training.

Sensei Corbett said, “After training in traditional J.K.A Shotokan Karate for over 35 years, in which time I have trained with many of the top Japanese and western Masters, who were all great honorable human beings and who I thank deeply for giving me this wonderful art of Karate. I have to say that I have never seen or experienced anything so practical, functional and spiritually complete as this gift which Sensei Jackson has offered me”. “ His wisdom and dedication to the true spirit of Karate-Do is a candle in the Karate world for the rest of us to follow, until we too become a light to others who seek the way”.

Sensei Jackson dedicates the Fudochi system to Funakoshi Sensei.

On the 20th of May 2005, JSKA Canada was very fortunate to receive instruction from Sensei Richard Jackson 8th Dan, from Leicester, England.

Sensei Jackson is by every term of the word a master, not only of pure karate-do, but also of life itself.

Sensei Jackson taught exclusively for the whole week at the JSKA Hombu dojo. During that time he freely shared his training method, which he calls Fudochi.

During the week, the students experienced, Za-zen meditation, Ki exercises, special training kumi-kata, Sochin kata and katana use and drawing techniques.

Sensei Corbett has taught sword techniques at the dojo for the last year and Sensei Jackson's additional guidance will be of great help in the month's to come.
