Sensei Keigo Abe

Sensei Keigo Abe began Karate training when he was 15 years old. In 1956 he entered Nihon University in Tokyo and began training in the Japapn Karate Association under Sensei Masatoshi Nakayama. By 1965 he had become an instructor in the JKA. In 1985 he came Director of Qualifications. Sensei Abe became the technical director of the JKA Matsuno section in 1990. He held this position until 1999 at which point he retired from the JKA.

Sensei Abe is also accomplished in the tournament arena. He took 3rd place in the first JKA National Championships. He was the captain of the Japanese team at the second World Championships in Paris, France. Sensei Abe won 1st place at the JKA international Friendship Tournament in 1973, and took 1st place in the second and third JKF National Championships as a representative of Tokyo.



Sensei Frank Corbett

Sensei Frank Corbett Began training in Karate and Kendo in England in 1973. Training first in the (K.D.S), Karate-Do Shotokai, led by Sensei Harada, then in 1975 moving to the K.U.G.B (Karate Union of Great Britain), led by Sensei Enoeda,J.K.A, receiving his Shodan In 1978.  In 1980, he moved to Ontario Canada and joined the J.K.A (I.S.K.F) International Shotokan Karate Federation led by Sensei Okazaki, where he received his Godan in 1999. Over the years, Sensei Corbett has trained with many Shotokan masters. In 2001, Sensei Corbett became the chief representative in Canada for the J.S.K.A, (Japan Shotokan Karate Association) led by Sensei Abe. In 2005, Sensei Corbett along with Sensei Phil Hardy were selected as Chief instructors of Canada to teach the Fudochi system by Sensei Richard Jackson 8th Dan W.K.F.
